LinkedIn Ads to be Tested in New Mobile Apps



LinkedIn social media is derived for professionals which is now testing advertisements for the mobile apps of the smartphones. The revamped mobile applications are with a purpose to highlight informational stream which is being shared with the members of the social network. It is for the first time from LinkedIn to show adds on smartphones which was not done previously.

Within mobile application’s news stream, these ads will appear. Till it’s a small test as said by Julie Inouye LinkedIn spokeswomen. The new app will accessible readily for both Apple and Android devices. This makes it easier as most of the professionals are using smartphones and these services will help them to a greater extend. They can like and comment on the shared news story on LinkedIn through the app by going to the news stream section. 

Nowadays people are accessing internet or web through their mobiles instead of PCs so this shift is clearly in mind of Facebook, Google Inc and LinkedIn which is why steps for using apps on mobile are being taken by them. According to the estimate, for about quarter of the LinkedIn traffic comes from mobile apps. To motivate its users to spend more time on LinkedIn, it has overwhelmingly produced changes to its website in the recent months. 

Why it needs advertisement? It is quite clear. For having better visibility. This way, users can better reach to the professionals to whom they are interested into. The app will help in getting interaction with all those likeminded people thus enhancing the experience of LinkedIn users. 

LinkedIn features like contributed content, endorsements, ability for monitoring users and notifications has not only changed the way interaction was done before but this new app has made the network more appealing to be visited daily instead of just while looking for a job or a business.
The app has more intuitive navigation for customizing jobs, groups and people we might know. Apart from that, you can view photos largely. Also, more information with just two to three tabs away. Apart from the improvements in interface, LinkedIn bringing in sponsored content to the smartphone apps

According to an estimate, there are 200 million users who used to log into LinkedIn daily through mobile and just 15% on average, the new users an year before but now the ratio is 27% for today. That is the reason why LinkedIn wants to give more reasons to its users to log on for better user experience.
